Ambassador Csaba Kőrösi
Strategic Director, Blue Planet Foundation
is the President of the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly and one of the key architects of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, having co-chaired the intergovernmental process that led to the adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prior to his presidency of the General Assembly, he served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Hungary to the United Nations, as well as Head of Mission to Greece and the United Arab Emirates.
As Director (State Secretary) of the Office of the President of Hungary, Mr. Kőrösi supported the President’s work on major global initiatives, including the High-level Panel on Water, co-convened by the UN Secretary-General and the President of the World Bank Group, and the Water and Climate Leaders Panel, convened by the Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization and the President of UN-Water.
He is a founding member of the Hungarian Scientific Panel on Climate Change, and serves on the Presidential Committee on Sustainable Development at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. His international affiliations include roles as Distinguished Fellow at the JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute, Fellow of the International Research Center of Big Data for SDGs at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Honorary Fellow of the International Science Council.
Mr. Kőrösi is also a member of the UN Council of Presidents of the General Assembly and the Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
