Anders Jönsson

Anders Jönsson is the Chief of the Innovation Policy Development Section at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. His section supports member States in their efforts to enable and catalyze innovation, especially in countries with economies in transition – such as those in the Western Balkan region. He oversees the new ECE Transformative Innovation Network (ETIN), where Western Balkan countries are increasingly engaged. 

ETIN is a network for dynamic dialogue and exchange of experiences around the challenges and opportunities of adapting to climate change, moving towards a more circular economy, and taking advantage of the manifold opportunities digitalization and frontier technologies provide in practice.  

Prior to joining ECE, Anders has worked for the OECD, UNDP, World Economic Forum and Toshiba in Scandinavia, Germany, Turkey, Cyprus, Uzbekistan and South Africa.
